[Tsung] problems getting controller to start slave on remote box

You also try this as specified in the FAQ ?

>erl -rsh ssh -sname foo -setcookie mycookie

Eshell V5.4.3 (abort with ^G)
(foo at myhostname)1>slave:start(load1,bar,"-setcookie mycookie").
{ok,bar at load1}
