[Tsung] Fedora Version

Greetings folks:
Pardon my noobness but I have read the installation and support documentation and all of the forum threads and have some basic questions about Tsung and the correct way to get it working.
1. In order to get the supported version of erlang installed, the dependencies for open ssl et al, it does not appear Fedora 8 is a good choice. If you were to recommend a Linux distribution and version to a UNIX novice that would work without significant effort, what would it be?
2. I don't see much out there about sing-tsung - are tsung users in favor of this application? Is it a widely used addition for implementation for users who are not necessarily Linux experts? Are there other add-ins or plug-ins that I can add?
3. I assume that the problem is a version issue (compatible erlang 10 is installed on Fedora 8) but the recorder does not seem to "record" anything - there is just a /session entry in the file. I don't see a solution or an example of this problem on the tsung forums.
4. The work I am planning for tsung is with a well known fortune 50 company with a possible interest in a large implementation of tsung. Is there a resource that I could point these guys to for support and implementation expertise?
Thanks for you help in advance.
Cheers,
Stan
